On May 14-16 Rusty Nails organized a fantastic film fest for Chicago starring Jack Hill and George Romero! Friday night Jack Hill presented a few of his films like Spider Baby and Switchblade Sisters. Saturday and Sunday George Romero presented Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, The Crazies and Creepshow. I am sure they would have loved to have shown Dawn of the Dead (THE ORIGINAL) but the greedy assholes at Universal will not let it be shown. Anyway, here are some pictures :)
There were a few more celebrities we ran into at the fest: Reverend Horton Heat, John
Borowski (director of HH Holmes
and currently working on a film about Albert Fish) and Mike Schank from American
Movie. The director, Mark Borschardt, was there as well but I
didn't capture him in my camera. Mike was easy to capture because he liked
talking to the ladies ;) A few pix of the awesome band Mucus Some pix of patrons, employees, customers and fest volunteers. Andrew was so tired! poor
little tiger! The staff at the Biograph Theater was really awesome. I thought the fest went well: well organized, nice volunteers, nice theater employees and nice customers! Thanks to Rusty for making it happen and letting me sell stuff!
